Gallop

Time flies and it is almost the end of the year. It is a time to take stock and be appreciative of how the year (sometimes good; sometimes bad) panned out.  Still, as the saying goes, Keep Going Forward.

Height (Fear)

I think my boys and my wife enjoyed the 2 cable rides more than me. Afterall, I do have fear of heights.

Ocean Park

A visit to Hong Kong requires a visit to Ocean Park as well. It is definitely a place worth visiting and it has everything for all ages. Now, that's a beauty!

Happy, Happy, Happy

Visited the "Happiest Place on Earth (in HK specifically)" with the family before my eldest start formal schooling next year.  Arrived in the afternoon and decided to take a evening stroll to dinner within the park.

Market Rules

The Thomas The Train is a British thing. With economic power shifting, it is not surprise that the franchise (if I may call it), has decided to innovate to attract new potential customers.

Northern Landing Approach

As the year draws to an end, I think this year matches the number of trips on planes to those when I was in my 30s. Thanks to digital, I can now take more pictures. Just have to hold the phone steady...

Starting a Business

Age is not a factor when starting a business at the start of the school's holidays.

It is hip to be an entrepreneur
Most stores seemed to be manned by adults.

At the Gate

I was flying off for another short trip and chanced up on these passengers waiting with the backdrop of 2 planes.

Sunny Day

As the month moved slowly into the end of April, the weather here has been raining which is quite unusual. Of course, there are days when it is very sunny, hot and humid.

Push Towards Automation (Not)

There has been a recent push for automation given that there is a dwindling work force. While the mind is willing, the technology may not.

Orange

I was attending a course at Mecure Bugis and step out of the buffet restaurant area. What I found was a strong common colour theme around the neighbourhood.

Palace of Power

I have seen seen this scene many a times on TV with majestic music in the background. Nice grandeur about the place.

Multiculturism

As I traveled through the streets of south London, it is evident that multiculturalism exists here and everyone can go about their businesses.

Change in More Ways Than One.

A scene from a tour bus in South London. Winter is almost over; Shop is awaiting new tenant; Society is more accepting than in the 60s.

Wintery March

Half expecting Spring time in London, I was surprised to see the temperature to be under zero and had to repack.

I have a Dream

I was attending a training and saw this board. I have not thought of this question for a while. I am not too sure if it was appropriate given that many people of different background and different nationalities will pass through the training academy.

Still it is a wish and a dream. Which is important - to have a dream.

Have you thought of this recently?

Behind the Digital Payment

It was quite obviously that Singapore is behind in terms of digital payment with most preparing cash as payment. The population is slowing being weaved off the bacteria-filled and cold hard cash.

However, sometimes the ecosystem is just not ready for this new wave of digital payment.

Arrival of Winter in Sodor

My eldest would occupy a high portion of the living room sofa to his Island of Sodor, for Thomas and his Friends.

No Butt Space

After we had taken out the light emerald sofa cover for washing, my eldest decided to reinstall his Island of Sodor on the sofa and called it the winter (wonder)land.

Mist Amongst the Morning Sun

The morning before I head home for a good rest after a hectic opening 6 weeks where travelling in planes, taxis, cars, and train was the norm.

The Waiting Game

The flight was delayed and I had lots of time to sit down and catch some shut eye. The scene of a cold winter afternoon was too good to miss before I snooze.

Could it be better in B&W?

Recharge

It had been a hectic two weeks. Lots of work, lots of travel and not lots of sleep. Coming to the tail end of a business trip. Had my lunch and there was still time and room for a snack.

The Making of the Jewel

I was flying out of Changi T2 and saw that the Jewel was nearing completion. It does have a certain resemblance to the other "Durian" found in the middle of town. Maybe it is easier to design and build with triangles.  Once completed, the Changi Jewel is supposing going to be a shopping and food paradise for both tourists and local residents.

The Whites of January

It has been raining heavily since the winter solstice. Hardly a day goes by in January 2018 without the rain. And then, there are the clouds. Not just the grey or dark looking ones; there are also white clouds filling up in the sky.
