Fixing Time

I took this picture to be used in a Powerpoint slide. Over the past few days, things to fix in the house included lights, doors, and battery change.

Time of the year to get down to do it.

Importance of The Start

I never did cook this dish before having experimented with many others. I finally found the opportunity to learn the art of cooking Hainanese Chicken Rice when my mum stayed over. It is important to start and then continue to improve.

Sunshine Food

This is a store found in Sunshine Plaza. It is more famous for their wanton mee. However, I found this comfort food as well.

Reuse, Recyle

I was at the car wash and saw this mat. It probably had a different role previously.

Where did it serve?

Clock Work

In this part of Bedok, it was probably a good idea to have a clock in the middle of the estate. I guess there must had been a sponsor for the clock as well.

The clock does not show the correct time right now. I wonder for how long already.

It was an early Sumatra morning journey to airport passing a market where buying and selling was going on. Taken from the window of a moving car with a Sony Z3 phone camera.

Haze Trap

The haze is now prolonged and probably going to last till November as the weather people are predicting. The haze crowds from Sumatra and Kalimantan have joined up due to the changing wind directions caused by the typhoon in Taiwan.

Here Comes the Rain But The Haze Stays

Forests, forests are burning bright in Sumatra and the wind brought over the haze and even (maybe, the man-made) rain.

Fit a Bit or Mis-Fit?

The trend is now to wear one of these watches to help track the number of steps one has taken over a period of a day. These made a lot of money for some companies. Instead of forking out another lump sum for another watch, I got an app for my Pebble Time.

I was by the roadside having breakfast when the excavator came through the narrow street on its way to tear an old building down for the build up of a new one.

Glamour at Kampong Glam

I took a bunch of Entrepreneurship students to visit Haji Lane at Kampong Glam. Reminds me of the shopping experience I had in the small towns in Europe and US.

Colours along the street

Almost a European feel except for the two rubbish bins to keep the streets clean.
