Street Food

After buying the kue lapis, it was time for some street food. The difference in Medan was that you sit down in an eating place, order your food, and you can also order food from another store down the street!

I guess I started eating and had forgotten to take the rest of the street food that came along!

Kue or Kueh

The Kueh Lapis I know is spelled Kue Lapis in Indonesia. I found that the Medan Kue Lapis tasted better than those from Jakarta and so I told my friend on the phone. He told me that Medan was where Kue Lapis started and should taste better.

It was a raining evening and I was brought to a shop. I bought without hesitation. Its the best tasting one so far!

Train Station in Sumatra

While in Medan, my traveling companions and I wanted to trek to the Centrepoint Mall and had to walk through the railway station. Okay, we were a bit lost. Still, many images worth capturing.

6 am

It was my third trip to Medan and it was time to go home. Previously, I had woken up at 5am because I saw the wrong time (likely it is earlier) for the plane. This time, I left in daylight.

How the Mighty has Fallen

I was at a sports warehouse sale in Medan. I guess the World Cup has long gone and the host country did not do too well. Its time for the businesses to recoup the costs.

Think Again

Its tempting when you walk through a hypermart and there are things that attract you.

Still, it is good to think about it - Do you really need it?
