Next decade

The old Nissan Sunny car was due in another 6 months after nearly 9.5 years of service. It was time to buy another to, hopefully, last the next decade. This time, I switched to a Toyota Corolla Altis.

18 Mar 2017 - Servicing is Due Shortly

24 Feb 2017 - First time I am seeing this. Called AA and they told me that the car battery is okay. It was until later that I realised it is the auto key battery low. Japanese brief style indication.

All the bells and whistles. Did 104 km today at 12.6km/l. Very fuel efficient.

Night of the Night Race

I was at Hilton Hotel along Orchard Road attending a wedding dinner. This was the view of the pool at night. The F1 race was going on in the back ground.

Despite being a smartphone camera, I am still able to adjust some basic settings. It is not to shabby.

I got off the plane and heard the announcement that there will be an extra security check for the baggage. My baggage came out on a special tray and another tag.

On route from Medan back to the airport, the train passed by many rice padi fields during the early morning light. Shot it through the windows that was tinted to prevent the afternoon sun from getting to the passengers.

I had asked for tomato sauce at breakfast in an upscale hotel in Medan. The service staff must have been well trained, especially when they are not sure of what is required.

I have now visited all the 4 major cities of Indonesia. Medan is indeed progressing forward. With this rail link, I felt like I was at airport in either Tokyo or Hong Kong and heading to town.
