Stepping Out for the Year.

Its been quite a roller coaster January. I had not been doing much from mid November last year; welcoming my second son at the end of November. December just passed by slowly as I tried to taper the jealousy of the older one and enjoyed family life a bit more.

Then the new year started. It is almost like "Start your engines!" My father passed away and then there was the wake and the funeral. The rest of my activities also started shortly there after.

Choices

I was on the lookout for a smaller camera bag and ended with a whole new system from Fujifim after a very brief research. After experimenting with the XT-1 and reading up some more, I realised that while the center image is superbly sharp, the picture tends to fall off at the edges. While PR shooting was fine, it could not do the group photo job.

Then, I started to compare it with a smaller Nikon D750 that my associate bought shortly after. Nikon still won for image quality, versatility and also size factor.
