New Gear for Next Year
I had wanted to find a smaller backpack camera bag and I ended up concluding that a new system is needed after I was impressed with their first X100 offering.

Rule the Kitchen
I decided to take over the kitchen on Christmas Day 2014 from my wife's confinement nanny. I had to have instructions on how to make the salad and canned soup from my wife. The pork chop on the WMF grill plate came out nice and so did the roasted chicken from the oven.

9 Vehicles Pile Up
This happened on a lazy Sunday at Hougang Ave 4 where I frequent the TCM shop, cake shop, hawker food and the NTUC Supermarket.
It was reported in the papers as a 9 vehicles pile up after one of them lost control.

Vegetable Baskets
I found these old vegetable baskets, probably used in a wet market, abandoned at a relatively high level of my block's car park. Strange place to throw them away, especially since it is nicely tied up.
The next day it was gone. I am wondering perhaps they were just there temporary.

Worn Out Buttons
I was at Changi Terminal 3 and used the AXN machine to make payment to my credit card. I noticed that the buttons were well used. It reminded me of my time as a design engineer when I encountered the same problem. The root cause then were (1) customers had used moisturiser on their hands (likely given the profile in Changi Airport) and (2) no UV coat to protect the paint on the button.

Pasar Hindu
I pass this market for Hindus in Medan on many occasions. I had wanted to walk the market in day time and take some pictures. In fact, even when it is closed, it has many photo opportunities as well.
The Market is located at the T-junction. Scene from the peak hour. |

Full or Empty
Too many people are posting of what they are eating. How about at the end? Was it good enough given the look of the food presentation.
The ending is important.

Waterfall - Man Made
I remembered visiting Jurong Bird Park when I was young in the early 1970s during Chinese New year. The park was opened in 1971. The waterfall was touted as the world's largest man-made water fall.
When I visited it nearly 40 years on, the waterfall is now the world's largest aviary waterfall. Things change. Progress has been made by others. Don't keep still. Keep moving!

Street Food
After buying the kue lapis, it was time for some street food. The difference in Medan was that you sit down in an eating place, order your food, and you can also order food from another store down the street!
I guess I started eating and had forgotten to take the rest of the street food that came along!
